Award Description

Mr. Sajal Singh, an alumnus of IIT Hyderabad, has come forward to set up the Research Excellence Award for a B.Tech student in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering department. The award is proposed to be set up as an endowment, and the returns earned at an average of 5% would support the monetary award and the citation. The naming rights to the donor are offered for a period of 10 years.

Award Description

Our alumni Dr. Prashanth Chatrasi graduate from 2012 batch of the department of Computer Science and Engineering along with his PhD advisor Prof Vivek Sarkar and Dr. Ratna Sarkar came forward to establish this award to commemorate Late Prof Kesav Nori from IIT Kanpur. This award is given out annually on the IITH foundation day by the donor. The award is proposed to be set up as an endowment, and the returns earned at an average of 5% would support the monetary award and the citation. The naming rights to the donor are offered for a period of 10 years.

Award Description

The award has been set up by Mr. Goutham Veeramachaneni, Mr. Annanay Agarwal and Soumitra Khanale (B.Tech, CSE, 2018) our alumnus, started this award for students of UG level. The award started in the year 2022 for 10 years. The award will be given every year on foundation day.

Award Description

Mr Ashwin Nandapurkar, an alumnus of the 2015 batch of B. Tech, MAE has come forward to generously support one UG student by providing a scholarship of INR 50K. The scholarship is for 4 years. As part of the award, Mr Ashwin will mentor students who have been given the award. The mentorship aims to empower the students on their path towards financial independence. The award will be given on IITH foundation day.

Award Description

In honor of his daughter, Dr. Siddhartha Annapureddy, an IITM alumnus, has offered to establish the 'Sumedha Annapureddy Gold Medal for Innovation' award for UG students who have excelled in Innovation at IITH. This award is given out annually on the IITH foundation day by the donor.

Award Description

The award has been set up by Prof. Chandra Shekhar Sharma (Professor, Chemical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad), for a female UG student in IIT Hyderabad, in the memory of his mother. The award will be given annually to a female candidate in the B.Tech program (specially for 3rd and 4th year) from any stream of study, who has published a peer-reviewed international journal paper. Prof Chandra has also offered to mentor the student to create a career in research. The award will be given to the selected student on the institute foundation day.

Award Description

Dr. Mudrika Khandelwal (Associate Professor, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, IITH) has come forward to set up the Om Vimla Award for Innovation in Materials for Society. The award is given to one student from the Department of MSME irrespective of UG, PG, and PhD level. The donor has contributed an INR 2.5 Lac sum of money used as a project fund, and the award will be given every year on foundation day to one student for a value of INR 25K per year for 10 years. The Award started in the year 2023.

Award Description

Mr. Madhu Kumar Kogalanu an individual donor from Chennai has come forward to set up Sri KC Narayana Research Excellence Award for UG level students of MSME department. The donor has contributed cash price of INR 25,000 per year to IITH for the 10 years. The award will be given every year on foundation.
